1. Remove the bean reservoir and the top part of the mill.

2. Remove cap of dial with fingernails. Use hook and pliers to pull off dial knob. Pay attention, needs a lot of force.

3. Remove the two caps at the ends of the button row with a small flathead screwdriver. Unscrew the two uncovered screws.

4. Use a thin plastic lever to create a gap and unclip the top of the panel. When all is unclipped the panel can be pulled off to the front.

5. Now four screws become visible underneath the panel. Remove these and the three on the back.

6. Now insert the plastic lever along the left, right, and front gap of the top cover and unclip it all around. The machine is open!

7. In my case the studs of the portafilter holder were broken. I removed them and added a new bracket to hold the portafilter in place.

Für den alten FA-NWT ist die bald 10 Jahre alte Version von LinNWT4 auf Ubuntu 20.04 LTS zu kompilieren.

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rock-core/qt4
$ sudo aptitude update
$ sudo aptitude install libqt4-dev libqt4-qt3support
$ cd hfm9/
$ tar -xvf linnwt4_V4_10_01.tar
$ cd linnwt4_V4_10_01/
$ qtchooser -run-tool=qmake -qt=4 -v
$ qtchooser -run-tool=qmake -qt=4
$ make
$ sudo nano /etc/groups (add user to dialout group)

Now reboot the computer or log out and restart the X server.

$ ~/hfm9/linnwt4_V4_10_01/linnwt

Now set the /dev/tty* to the FA-NWT serial connection.

Bei uns gab es wiederholt Probleme mit dem Breitbandanschluss über das Kabelfernsehnetz. Der herbeigerufene Servicetechniker war sehr kompetent und erkannte als Problem zu hohe Pegel am Kabelmodemeingang. Für einen einwandfreien Betrieb des Kabelmodems, bei uns eine FRITZ!Box, sind folgende Toleranzen einzuhalten:

Empfangsrichtung – Power Level: -4 … 10 dBmV

Senderichtung – Power Level: 40 … 50 dBmV

Diese können in der FRITZ!Box unter „Internet -> Kabel-Informationen -> Kabel-Internet“ nachgeprüft werden. Sollten in der Empfangsrichtung die Werte zu niedrig bzw. zu hoch sein, kann es zu Problemen durch begrenzte Empfindlichkeit bzw. Übersteuerung kommen. In der Senderichtung gilt das Gleiche für die Gegenstelle, diese Werte sollten sich aber von selbst einstellen.

Diese Probleme lassen sich durch Dämpfungsglieder oder entsprechend breitbandige Verstärker lösen, dazu sollte aber der Servicetechniker mit seiner Messtechnik gerufen werden.
